Warner, Jo
Jo Warner, 82, of Vinton, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following a brief illness. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Phillips Family Center, 605 Second Ave., Vinton. There will be no public services and private family interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Jo was born May 12, 1929, the daughter of C. Earle and Elizabeth (Ross) Parmater. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Vinton. Jo was united in marriage to Frank E. Warner on March 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2009.
Jo enjoyed dining out, traveling and visiting with her many good friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Gisele N. Warner of Cedar Rapids; and sisters, Pat Salger of Vinton and Lois Pennington of Everett, Wash.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jo was preceded in death by her four sisters, Nan Mussman, Virginia Heath, Mary Jean Walter and Velma Blough; and her five brothers, Cliff, Ross, Russ, Bill and Vern Parmater.
