Ware, Louise M.
Louise M. Ware, 94, a resident of Living Center West, died there Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Bob Voels will officiate. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; a daughter, Ellen Lacy of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sons, Robert D. (LaVena) and James (Debra), both of Trophy Club, Texas; and a brother, Chuck (Pat) Custer of Randalia. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mildred Custer of Mesquite, Texas.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.
Louise was born June 28, 1917, in Brooklyn, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Lula (Richey) Custer. She married Robert B. Ware on Oct. 10, 1937, in Cedar Rapids. Louise worked in sales at Armstrong's department store for over 30 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Louise was a fan of the Cubs and Hawkeyes. She enjoyed going to the casino (they are going to miss her at Tama), baking, cooking, and especially the time spent with her beloved family and many friends.
Memorial donations may be given to the Shrine Transportation Fund or Trinity United Methodist Church.
