Wanda Jean Schorg, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel
of Memories. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Robert Schorg of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Paula (Lonnie) Louvar of Miles, Iowa, and Vickie (Doug) Linman of Arthur, Iowa; four stepchildren, Linda, Kathy, Jean and Rob; eight grandchildren, Zach, Eli, Stefanie, Leeann, BJ, Nissa, Mindi and Gina; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Wanda was born Dec. 5, 1941, to Ervin and Fern Hartwell Wetzel in Algona, Iowa. On Aug. 25, 1974, she married Robert Schorg in Nashua, Iowa. She enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada and Mexico with her husband, but her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family.
Wanda was a loving and caring person.
