Walton, Nancy J. Bakalar

Nancy J. Bakalar Walton, 72, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in her home following a short illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Christ United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Steven Hubbell. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.

She is survived by daughters, Kim (Tom) Hinschberger and Sheila (Pat) Bevins, both of Belle Plaine, Betsy (Butch) Mitchell and Brenda (Jim) VanOtegham, both of Victor; sisters, Eve (Harold) Repp of Aurora, Ill., Marge (George) King of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Peg (Sonny) Walker of New Sharon, Lynda (Kenny) Shilling and Bev (Ray) Ragan, both of Oskaloosa; brothers, John (Jane) Bakalar of Grand Junction, Colo., Paul (Debbie) Bakalar of Albia, Tom (Violet) Bakalar and Ralph (Carolyn) Bakalar, both of Newton; grandchildren, Joe and Jamie Hinschberger, Amy (Mark), Andrew (Nikki), Jacob and Jessica VanOtegham, Sierra (Justin), Tiffany and Grant Bevins, Heather (Andy) Walton and Zachary Beatty; and great-grandchildren, Kean and Kale Campbell, Case Elm, Ryleigh Jones, and baby expected in January.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 2008; parents, one brother and three sisters.
