Wallace, William C.
William C. Wallace, a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, formerly of 1800 Ridgewood Terr. SE, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Per Bill's request there will be no service or visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, T.J. and his wife, Corinne, of Orange, Calif.; two grandchildren, Sydney and Cole; three nieces, Nancy (George) Hof of Stillwater, Minn., Arlene (Clifford) Newman of Port Byron, Ill., and Leisa (Arthur) Newman of West Des Moines; and many good friends.
Bill was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Des Moines, the son of John and Elena Crawford Wallace. He married Mary E. Newman on Sept. 10, 1950, in Cedar Rapids.
Bill and Mary were owners and operators of William C. Wallace Photography for over 63 years.
He was a lifelong member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, 640 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 where memorials may be sent in Bill's name.
