Walker, Jerry
Jerry Walker, 57, of Cedar Rapids, went to redneck heaven on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; sons, Jeffrey Aaron of Hot Springs, Ark. and Robert (Amber) Hanover of Mount Ida, Ark.; daughters, Jennifer (D.J.) Harmon of Mount Ida and Kristina Hanover-Roots of Hot Springs; brother, Johnny (Paula) Walker of Aubrey, Ark.; sister, Peggy Walker of Norman, Ark.; and seven grandchildren, Nathan Jiles, Kaylee Hanover, Kianna Roots, Grayson Harmon, Alexis Hanover, Olivia Harmon and two more on the way.
Jerry was born Dec. 5, 1955, in Marianna, Ark., the son of John and Carrie (Williams) Walker. He married Frances on July 4, 1997, in Muckersville. Jerry was a truck driver for many years in Arkansas and Iowa. He loved life and will be remembered for being an avid outdoorsman as he enjoyed fishing, camping and four wheeling. Jerry will be especially missed by his grandchildren who he greatly loved and cared about.
