Wagner, Helen 'Mac' M.
Helen “Mac” M. Wagner, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.
Survivors include her children, Janis Holdridge, David and Tammy Wagner, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Cassandra Holdridge, Kaitlin Wagner, Lucas Wagner, Alyssa Wagner and Jaxson Wagner; and her siblings, Gerald Walser, Edith Suchomel, Genevieve Kucera and Kenneth Walser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and brother, Ray Walser.
Helen was born Jan. 28, 1930, the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Krouse) Walser, in Lafayette, Iowa. On March 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to Carl Wagner. He died June 5, 2006.
