Waalk, Deloris
Deloris Waalk, 88, of West Union, passed away Dec. 17, 2013, at Good Samaritan Home. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Mausoleum.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Fred; her daughter, Mickie Wallace (William) of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Kristin Morrison (Mike) and Thomas Wallace, both of Jacksonville; a great-grandson, Devin; two sisters, Betty Kurdelmeyer (Robert) and Velma Larson; a brother, Charles Christianson; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Deloris Waalk was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Clayton County, Iowa. She was a rock to her family and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Deloris was a loving and caring person, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
