Voss, Maxine Carroll
Maxine Carroll Voss, 88, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown with Pastor Norman Bennett officiating. Interment will be held at the Norway Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established.
She was born March 24, 1923, in Illinois, and was adopted by Robert and Winifred Carroll at age six. Maxine graduated from the Norway High School.
She is survived by her children, Diane (David) Rotter of Mena, Ark., Rick (Lynette) Voss of Blairstown, Ron “Butch” (Cindy) Voss of Blairstown, and Donna (Jim) McKusker of Burlington, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert; her brother, John Carter; and her sister, Darlene Voss.
