Vogt, Dean A.
Dean A. Vogt, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at St. Luke's Living Center West. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Congregational UCC, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. David Hohmann will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Cedar Rapids; children, Daniel (Gretchen) Graves of San Carlos, Calif., Lynette (Greg) Boheman of Monticello and Jennifer (Mark) Phillips of Des Moines; and grandchildren, Allen Boheman, Tylor Boheman, Joshua Graves, Margot Graves and Teag Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mabel Vogt; and his wife, Kathryn.
Dean was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Council Bluffs, the son of Arthur and Mabel (Dau) Vogt. He married Joyce Ruth Huenemann on July 2, 1976, in Cedar Rapids. Dean was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a general contractor and owned and operated Dean Vogt & Co.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Congregational UCC.
