Voelpel, Forrest V.
Forrest V. Voelpel, 63, of Marion, went home after battling a long illness on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Forrest is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Stephanie McCauley, and grandchildren, Raven and Sam, all of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Forrest was born Feb. 7, 1950, in Chicago, Ill. He married Charlotte Barlow on Nov. 7, 1990, in Ports O'Call, Calif. Forrest was vice president of customer service at Security Pacific Bank for 13 years before retiring in 2012.
Forrest was an avid tennis player and follower. He was a Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and spending time with his family.
