Voelker, Jane
Jane Voelker, 89, of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, in Waterloo. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date.
She is survived by one son, Doug (Joanne Johnson) Voelker of Evansdale; one daughter, Julie (Patrick) Nuemiller of Baudett, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Artell Voelker of Cedar Rapids, Nadine Miller of Norway, Iowa, and Dorothy Heren of Mount Vernon; and many nephews and nieces.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Geneva Miller; one brother, Verne Miller; and one granddaughter, Pennie Nuemiller.
She was born May 26, 1920, in Lisbon, Iowa, the daughter of John C. and Oma C. (Cousins) Miller. She graduated from Stanwood High School, Stanwood. Jane married C. E. Voelker on June 14, 1937; he preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1962.
Jane enjoyed her family, her neighbors, and the fantastic Red Hat Ladies; they were very dear to her.
