Voelker, Betty Lou
Betty Lou Voelker, 79, of Wildomar, Calif., formerly of Shellsburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 3, 2013, at Wildomar Assisted Living. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at St. John Lutheran Church, Olin.
Survivors include her children, Charles, Calvin, Clifford, Christopher, Craig and Curtis; sisters, JoAnn Sankot and Donna Merrick; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Freda Soper; husband, Bill Voelker; and brother, Don Soper.
An Iowa native, Betty graduated from Olin High School. She married Bill Voelker and together they raised six boys. In 2002, Betty relocated to southern California. Betty loved life.
She will be remembered for her keen mind, friendliness, vibrant spirit and love and acceptance of all.
