Vivian's life journey began Feb. 1, 1933, in Cedar County, where she was born to William and Helen (Wharton) McQuillen. She attended and graduated from Tipton High School and then pursued her passion of cosmetology by graduating from Busselle School of Beauty, Davenport, in 1953. Vivian was united in marriage to Henry Wiskus in 1955 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Together they have lived in Tipton and raised four children: Vickie, Jerry, Mark and Marlin.
Vivian's years of employment were spent doing what she loved: owning and operating her very own beauty shop, Vivian's Beauty Shop, in Tipton, until she retired in 1995.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Sisters of Monday Afternoon Coffee Club.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Henry; daughter, Vickie (Rob) Byrd of Tipton; sons, Jerry (Deb) Wiskus of Winter Park, Fla., Mark (Shellby) Wiskus of Tipton and Marlin Wiskus of North Liberty; sisters, Janice McCrea of Olin and Doris Heisch of Lowden; sisters-in-law, Pat McQuillen and Sharon McQuillen; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
