Vivian Ockenfels, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, after a long life and a relatively short illness. Visitation will be held at

noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A funeral service will immediately follow. Burial at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A livestream of

Vivian was born Dec. 5, 1926, in rural Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Gilbert and Hazel (Reed) Arnold. She grew up with her three brothers and a sister on the family farm outside of Walker, Iowa. She graduated from Walker High School in 1944. She married LeRoy Ockenfels on Jan. 10, 1948. She worked many years at, and was retired, from Square D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Kenneth Arnold and Harold "Bud" Arnold; sister, Catherine Todtz; grandson, Duane Ockenfels; and her ex-husband, LeRoy Ockenfels.

Vivian is survived by her four children, Judy Neumeyer, Mike Ockenfels, JoAnn Suchomel and Roger (Lisa) Ockenfels; 11 grandchildren, Dawn (Chris) Coppess, Jeremy (Becca) Ockenfels, Nick Ockenfels, Amy (Brian) Neer, Matt Berry, Melodee (Brad) Lockman and Christy (Andy) Pietropinto; 11 great-grandchildren, Madison Coppess, Caden Neer, Logan Neer, Lorelei Ockenfels, Cassie Ockenfels, Saoirse Ockenfels, Tyler Berry, Derek Berry, Mariah Berry, Mattie Berry and Mason Berry; brother, Norman Arnold; and sister-in-law, Wilma Arnold.
