Virginia Elizabeth Sweet, 80, of Manchester, died at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ryan, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, where there will also be a 3 p.m. Scripture service. Friends may also call one hour before Mass Saturday at the church. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Ryan.
Survivors include her three children, Steven (Mary) Sweet of West Concord, Minn., Cindy Wilson of Elkader and Kelly (Michelle) Sweet of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Travis, Samantha, Nicholas, April, Ashley, Amber, Allan and Danielle; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Becker of Newhall; and a sister-in-law, Marion Woods of Central City.
