Virginia Louise Smith, 93, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018. A visitation will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Virginia was born July 1, 1925, in Vici, Okla., to Walter J. and Ida May Turner. On April 20, 1947, she married Garland Smith. She worked for Howard Hall at Brucemore. Virginia enjoyed cooking, embroidery and drawing. She will be greatly missed by those who loved to hear her play piano and sing.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Lee) Wolfram of Washington; and two sons, Charles (Cathy) Smith and Billy Smith, all from Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a great-granddaughter, Carley; and 12 siblings.
