VIRGINIA "GINNY" RAMSEY Cedar Rapids Virginia "Ginny" Ramsey, 73, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Center Point, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Mercy Hallmar, Cedar Rapids, following complications from diabetes. Visitation: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. The funeral service, conducted by Pastor Andrew Happ, immediately follows the visitation at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will take place at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, at a later date. Survivors include her son, Todd (Shelly) Ramsey; daughters, Tisha (Kevin) Kinley and Tanya Ramsey (Alan) Michel; eight grandchildren, Dylan, Ty, Jylian, Caitlyn, Connor, Hannah, Avery and Sadie; and siblings, Ken Fagle and Kevin (Bonnie) Fagle. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim. Ginny was born May 2, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Wesley and Viola (Ondler) Fagle. On Sept. 3, 1961, she married James Leon Ramsey at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She worked for the Center Point-Urbana school district for 26 years as a teacher's aide at the elementary school. Ginny was a member of Center Point United Methodist Church. Ginny enjoyed her years working with the children at the school. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her husband.
