VIRGIL STEVE KOZIK

Virgil Steve Kozik, 90, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Feb. 13, 2022, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.
Virgil was born Oct. 25, 1931, to Stephen J. and Theresa (Tracy Posekany) Kozik at the family home in rural Benton County, Iowa. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, Class of 1950. Following school, he continued to work alongside his family on the farm. Together with his father, uncle, Jim, and brother, Don, they began the Kozik Brothers partnership, raising Hereford cattle, Duroc hogs and growing crops.

Virgil will always be remembered as a kind and caring man with a mischievous smirk. He was member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Belle Plaine.
He survived by his nieces and nephews, Barbara Burg, Mark (Abbie) Kozik, Mary Pech, Jane (Tim) Balvanz, Gregory (Elizabeth) Pech, Richard (Sandra) Pech, Sherri (KC) Swearengin, Doug (Linda) Kozik and Janet (Doug) Johnson; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews and friends.
