VIOLA M. PATTEN

Viola M. Patten, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab. Service is at 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Daisy (Vern) Stark of Norway and Diane Havlik of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Douglas (Susan) of Cedar Rapids and David (Janet) of Lisbon; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Viola was born April 30, 1924, in Albion, N.Y., the daughter of William and Daisy Fite Petty. She married George D. Patten on May 30, 1941, in Le Roy, N.Y. George passed away in 2004.
Viola retired as a cook from Jefferson High School. She lived for her family. Viola will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
