Vincent James Waters, 72, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon, Ind.
Vince was born on Feb. 25, 1943, in Postville, Iowa, to Robert "Bertie" and Mabel (Ewing) Waters. He graduated from Postville High School in 1961.Vince was married to Cheryl (Hangartner) Waters for 25 years. He worked in sales and marketing for most of his life.
Vince is survived by his children, Joni Spencer (Marvin Spencer), both of Waterloo, Jason (Treva) Waters of Lisbon and Wendy (Jeff) Jacobson of New Prague, Minn.; his grandchildren, Jadyn, Jaclyn, Hannah, Hagen, Luke and Faith; his brothers, Steve (Barb) Waters of Knoxville and Robert Waters of Racine, Wis.; sisters, Mary Ann (Charlie) Corcoran of Fort Dodge, Margaret (Brian) Bengtston of Kissimmee, Fla., and Regina Waters of Waukon; many nieces and nephews; and also special family friends, J.R., Melissa, Katie, John, Josiah, Caroline, Kathleen and Hannah Ammon of Columbus, Ind.
Vince requested that upon cremation, his ashes be scattered in one of his favorite spots in the Mississippi River. His loved ones plan to celebrate his life and grant his final wishes in the summer of 2016.
