Victor Michel Krob, 39, of Iowa City, formerly of Solon, passed away suddenly from a brief illness on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Mercy Iowa City. Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St., with the Rev. Earling Shultz presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Victor was born Feb. 17, 1977, in Iowa City, the son of Larry J. and Barbara J. (Michel) Krob. He graduated from Solon High School, Class of 1995. Victor was united in marriage to Amy Douthit on May 3, 2014, at Sharon Center United Methodist Church in Sharon Center.
He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
Victor is survived by his wife, Amy; his father, Larry Krob (Dodie DeMar) of Solon; his brother, Frank "F.J." Krob of Solon; his in-laws, Chris (Jim) Roberts of Frytown and Donald (Kim) Douthit of Clarinda; brothers-in-law, John (Tasha) Douthit of Muscatine and Andy Roberts of Frytown; as well as his niece, Mariah Krob.
Victor was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Lisa Selene Krob; and his grandparents, Vic and Edna Krob and Reynolds and Leta Michel.
