Victor E. Benyshek, 80, of Clarence, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at his home in Clarence.
Private family graveside services will be held Friday, May 22, at the Mount Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. David Mears officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Victor was born on Jan. 10, 1935, in Cuba, Kan., to Wesley and Mary (Kasha) Benyshek. Victor had worked for farmers or farm implement companies in his lifetime, including Bernard Campion, Petrick Implement in Mount Vernon and Novak Implement in Lisbon, and retired at Allerton Implement in Allerton, Ill. He started out an Allis Chalmers man, but retired an avid John Deere man. He served in the National Guard, and enjoyed hunting coyotes and fishing.
Survivors include his sons, Jeff of Liberty, Ill., Dan of Lisbon and Denny (Connie) of Fairfax; daughters, Barbara Wilcox of Cedar Rapids, Laurie (Chuck) Bails of Mount Vernon and Vicki Benyshek of Bloomington, Ind.; grandchildren, Michelle, Shannon, Aaron, Stephanie, Shelbie, Ryan, Travis, Eric, Jared, Vinny, Will and Wesly; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella (Cletus) Klein of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas; and sister, JoAnn Brown.
