Vickie L. Collins, 62, of Holmen, Wis., passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wis. Vickie suffered complications due to a long illness.
Vickie was born in Iowa on June 6, 1952, the daughter of Don and Eunice Krauss. Vickie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Collins of Holmen, Wis.; her parents, Don and Eunice Krauss of Amana; daughters, Tanya (Tim) Coblentz of Shellsburg and Melissa (Jesse) Newman of Palo; stepdaughters, Michelle Tharp and Melissa (Jeff) Pascal, both from Wisconsin; her siblings, Don (Linda) Krauss Jr. of Amana, Ray Krauss of Homestead and Barb (Royal) Roland of Grinnell; also 10 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and four nieces and nephews.
There will be an Open House Celebration of Life at the home of Melissa and Jesse Newman, 4295 McClintock Rd. Palo, IA 52324; from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. Family and friends are invited to attend as we remember the good times in Vickie's life.
