VICKI MACHELLE (DENNIS) HEEREN Cedar Rapids Vicki Machelle (Dennis) Heeren, 50, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, Sanctuary Church, 912 18th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, with Pastor John Hankins officiating. Vicki was born Jan. 19, 1967, in Cedar Rapids. She is survived by her parents, Daisy Goodwin and Fred Dennis; children, Casi Heeren, and Sam Goodwin and Heather Goodwin Eby and their father, Rusty Goodwin; son-in-law, Robbie Eby; siblings, Kelly Alitz, Rick Alitz and Ryan Dennis; and grandchildren, Elliott, Leah and Elias. She received her GED from Kirkwood. She worked at The Gazette for five years. She loved all animals, always talking about being a veterinarian. She also loved swimming and roller skating. Vicki was of Baptist faith. Vicki will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
