Vest, III
JJ (James Loren) Vest III, 19, of Wellman, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Celebration of Life Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman, with Matt Freel to officiate. Burial: Wellman Cemetery. Visitation: today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wellman.
He is survived by his parents, James and Julie Vest Jr., and his sister, Jamie Vest, all of Wellman; grandparents, Beverly (Mam) Vest of Wellman and Jim Clark of Ocala, Fla.; great-grandmothers, June Clay of Arizona City, Ariz., and Helen Rotzinger of Bettendorf; an aunt, Tammy Vest of Wellman; an uncle, Jerry Suchomel of North Carolina; and several great-aunts and uncles.
JJ is preceded in death by his grandfather, James L. Vest Sr.; and great-grandparents, Fred Clay Sr. and Anna Clark.
