Vernon A. Ohrt, 90, of Montrose, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2014, at St. Mary's Care Center in Winsted, Minn.
Vernon is survived by son, Duane (Pamela) Ohrt of Oelwein; daughter, Ardith (Jack) Ohrt of Montrose, Minn.; five granddaughters, Jennifer (Dr. Michael) Anderson, Jessica (Patrick) Swaab, Jonnika (Gary) Kubert, Jolissa Ohrt, Jorianne Ohrt; nine great-grandchildren, Carter, Eisley, Caden, Addison, Gracyn, Gavin, Gage, Elias and Nolan; sister, LaVonne Ohrt of Charles City; brother, Carl (Marilyn) Ohrt of Marion; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minn. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at St. Paul Methodist Church in Waterloo, with visitation at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.
