Verne Dale Svec passed away on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Brosh Chapel. Burial will follow at the Czech National Cemetery, followed by a lunch at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel.
