Verla May Fern Bente, 71, of Garnavillo, died at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Pastor Gary Hatcher will officiate. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Interment: Garnavillo City Cemetery.
