VENETA KROEMER

Veneta L. Kroemer, 87, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, in the Clarence Nursing Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, with the Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include her sons, Terry (Pat) of Lowden and Leslie (Pat) of Marion, Ind.; daughter, Theresa (Jim) Schnack of Cornville, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alberta Thien of Tipton and Carolyn (Loren) Voss of Winfield, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edwin.
Veneta was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Cedar County, Iowa, to Gerhard and Lena Brunscheen Wenndt. She married Edwin Kroemer on Dec. 8, 1946, in Lowden. He died June 9, 1995.
Veneta was active in the Farm Bureau legislation committee and the farm-city swap with Chicago families. She was president of the Cedar County Porkettes and was a member of Trinity Ladies Aid and hospice assistance. She received the Cedar County 4-H youth committee award and the Elalnco award for greatest contributions in the Cedar County Porkettes.
