Lifetime resident of Cedar Rapids, Venda Jasa, 72, daughter of Pauline and Charles Jasa, was born Dec. 15,
1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A resident of The Meth-wick Community, she passed away Oct. 31, 2017, following a rapid decline in health.
The family would like to thank the staff at Meth-wick for the loving care they provided Venda.
Venda waitressed at the Cedar Cafe and Woolworth's diner until its closing. She
also worked for Options of Linn County.
She was a member of Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church, and along with her mother, Pauline Jasa, Venda enjoyed volunteering at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.
Venda's ability to light up a room with her smile and joyful attitude will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pauline Jasa; and her sister, Karla Zahradnik.
Because of Venda's love for animals, the family asks that memorial donations be given to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, followed by a graveside service at Czech National Cemetery and a Celebration of Life on Dec. 28 at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church.
