Vavrichek, Louise M.
Louise M. Vavrichek, 90, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Solon Nursing Care Center.
Louise was born Clara Louise Bryan on Sept. 13, 1922, in Ames, the daughter of Harry and Ailene Downs Bryan. She married Clare L. Vavrichek on Jan. 17, 1942. Louise had a rich and full life and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three children, Wayne (Marti) of Seattle, Wash., Bruce (Sherrie) of Silver Springs, Md., and Gayle (Roger) Klouda of Iowa City; six grandchildren, David of New York, N.Y., Michael of San Diego, Diane and Julie Vavrichek of Washington, D.C., Kimberly (Crick) Watkins of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Kyle Klouda of Iowa City; and great-granddaughter, Ellory Watkins of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband; parents; her foster parents, Frank and Mary Novotny Riesner of Solon; and her brother, Clifford H. Bryan of Prescott, Ariz.
A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

The family wishes to thank the fine doctors and staff of the Family Medicine team at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and the caring staffs of the Solon Nursing Care Center and Iowa City Hospice who assisted her in her short illness.
