Usher, Victor L. Jr.
Victor L. Usher Jr., 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his mother, Gayle Prior of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Terry (Laura) Usher of Shueyville, James Usher and Shane (DeeDee) Usher, both of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Patti (Michael) Johnson and Marilyn (Steve) Varner, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor.
Victor was born Feb. 22, 1957, the son of Victor and Gayle (Wilson) Usher, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1975. Victor worked at Goodwill and Big 10 Mart and enjoyed his time at Milestone. He liked country music and loved his cat “Baby.” Victor was a kind and caring man who will be missed by all who loved him.
