Usher, Connie M.
Connie M. Usher, 76, of 1115 Mitchell Dr., Marion, died at her home on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheri (James) Hofer of Lisbon and Debbie (James) Willard of Lavonia, Ga.; and a son, Jon of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Tara, Jake, Danai, Andy, Nick and Danny; and five great-grandchildren.
Connie was born May 15, 1935, in Charles City, the daughter of Irvin and Marion (Wilkins) Wendling. She married John T. Usher on Jan. 10, 1953, in Galena, Ill. He died in 1994. Connie worked at Kmart as an associate and retired from there after many years of service.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Robins.
Connie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established in Connie's name.
