Unzicker, Robert Edgar 'Bob'
Robert Edgar “Bob” Unzicker, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, in his Cedar Rapids home. Bob's graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Bob's viewing will be Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Bob are his daughter Evett, Cedar Rapids; son, Keith Unzicker, Chester, W.Va.; stepson, Dennis Franke, Marion; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bob in death were his wife; son Randy; three sisters and a brother.
Bob was born March 14, 1925, in Wheatland, the son of Chester and Anna Bender Unzicker. He married Evaue Vanetti Conklin. She died in 1982. Bob retired from Rockwell Collins as a machinist in 1982.
Bob's memorial fund is established.
