Ulferts, Betty
Betty Ulferts, 78, died Wednesday Oct. 9, 2013, at Rehabilitation Center of Hampton following a brief illness. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Goettsch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are two daughters, Patti Cutler, Ottumwa, and Susan (Terry) Morrison, Jefferson; four grandchildren, Bethany (Nick) Tindall, Marinda (Wade) Wells, Emily Rose Morrison and Billy Morrison; three great-grandchildren, Zoey Tindall, Auanlei and Greyson Wells; two sisters, Claudia (Gordon) Keith and Mary Utley; and a brother, Steven (Georgia) Haynes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Elizabeth Ann Haynes was born Jan. 12, 1935, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Roy W. and Namoi Hobson Haynes. Betty graduated from the Buck Creek High School in 1952. She married Ed Ulferts on June 29, 1952, at the Earlville Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in the Hopkinton community. Ed preceded her in death on July 2, 1996. Betty moved to Hampton, Iowa in 2003.
