Tyler James Foster, 16, of Marion, died unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home with a vigil service at 4 p.m.
Tyler was born May 23, 1998, in Cedar Rapids, to Paul Robert and Lori Ann (Milota) Foster. He was currently a junior at Linn-Mar High School, where he particularly enjoyed French class. Tyler enjoyed traveling, reading and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved video games and had dreams of being a video game designer. He was very interested in history, especially the World War II period. He had fun watching "The Big Bang Theory" with his little sister, Allison.
He will be remembered as a very well-mannered young man, who loved his animals, cats Sophia "Baby," Striker and Frank; and dog Sammy.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Lori Foster of Marion; sisters, Allison and Lillie; paternal grandmother, Patricia Foster of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Agnes Milota of Maquoketa; aunt, Laura (Christopher) Maharry of Des Moines; and aunt, Jodi Short of Monmouth.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Foster; and his great-grandparents.
