Twyla M. Milroy, 82, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Marietta's Place in Manchester.
She was born Sept. 23, 1934, near Oneida, the daughter of Arlo and Pauline (Aldrich) Tutton. She was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School in 1952.
Twyla was united in marriage to Robert W. Milroy in Manchester on June 27, 1954. Five children were blessed to this union. Together they lived in Cedar Rapids for three years, Manchester for 33 years, Des Moines for two years, and Oklahoma City until 1996, when Bob died. Twyla then moved back to Des Moines before returning to Manchester in 1998.
Twyla was a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Milroy Electric, for many years. She also worked at Super Value, Deli One, the Manchester Library and West Delaware school kitchen.
Twyla enjoyed crafts, card club, coffee with friends, and doing laundry and cleaning.
Twyla will be remembered as one who was devoted to her family.
Twyla was a longtime member of United Methodist Church and served on the Manchester Library board.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Kevin (Mary) Milroy of Silver Spring, Md., Kyle Milroy of Georgia, Kim (Jim) Salzbrenner of Mount Vernon, Kip (Rhonda) Milroy of Kansas and Kamille (Ron Edaburn) Werner of Manchester; 12 grandchildren, Bethany (Danny) Titman, Alexa Milroy, Danielle (Britt) Hale, Chelsea (Justin) Hammond, Steven (Lori) Milroy, Brandon Milroy, Trevor Ebel, Madison Ebel, Holly Salzbrenner, Mindy Salzbrenner, Dylan Werner and Kaitlyn Werner; five great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Dee (Norm) Boss, Arkie Hood, Tim (Jean Puffett) Tutton and Terry Tutton, all of Manchester.
Twyla was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milroy; her parents; brother-in-law, Dick Hood; and sister-in-law, Linda Tutton.

Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at the United Methodist Church in Manchester, by the Rev. Phil Rogers. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends also may call one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
