Twila J. Stewart, 78, of Ely, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
A time of visitation will be held Saturday, April 14, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Gay & Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held the following week in Oklahoma with burial following at the Glenwood Cemetery near Ringwood under the direction of Lanman Funeral Home.
Twila was born on Sept. 5, 1939, in Meno, Okla., the daughter of William and Carrie Jantz. On July 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Jack Stewart; Jack passed away in August of 2014. The couple had lived in Pennsylvania for many years until moving to Ely, Iowa, about 14 years ago. Twila had attended LifePointe Christian Faith Center, was a strong Christian and a kind, loving person.
Her family includes her children, Paul Stewart (Miriam) of Redding, Calif., and Debbie Ford (Rob) of West Chester, Pa.; grandchildren, Robert, Ryan and Rebecca Ford; sister, Lois Hiebert; as well as extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband, Jack Stewart.
