Tucker, Dorothy Faye

Dorothy Faye Tucker, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She was born June 19, 1919, in Waterloo, the daughter of Harry G. and Sarah (Neith) Rollins. Dorothy married James R. Tucker on April 24, 1954, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1999. Dorothy graduated from Waterloo East High School and received her B.A. degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1972. She was a member of PEO Ch. FV, TTT and St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include her brother, Harry (Virginia) G. Rollins of East Alton, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Ziemer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Carolyn Griffith of Arlington, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
