Trumm, Robert W. 'Bob'
Robert W. “Bob” Trumm, 82, of 19853 Highway 136, Cascade, died peacefully at 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. Friends and relatives of Robert may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where a wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Services for Robert will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Temple Hill, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery with full military honors afforded by the Cascade American Legion Post #528.
Robert was an Army Veteran, having served in Korea. He is a lifetime member of St. Peter's Parish in Temple Hill and a member of the Cascade American Legion Post #528.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Trumm of Cascade; seven children, Judy (Larry) Hayes of Peosta, Dr. Margie Trumm of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Donna (Garry) Kennedy of Palatine, Ill., Ann (Kipp) Noreen of West Dundee, Ill., Lois (Dan) Hayes of Morrison, Ill., Joe (Sara) Trumm of Cascade and Connie Trumm of Cascade; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Alma (George) Knepper of Cascade, Dorothy (Lawrence) Yanda of Anamosa, Millie Hosch and John (Ida) Trumm all of Cascade and Lois (Lloyd) Manternach of Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Reiter; a brother, LeRoy Trumm; a sister-in-law, Mary Trumm; and brothers-in-law, Eddie Hosch, Robert McCarthy and Fred Reiter.
A Robert W. Trumm memorial fund has been established.
