Truesdell, Beverly B.
Beverly B. Truesdell, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at the Iowa Veterans Home from natural causes. Friends may visit Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Beverly is survived by three children, Joseph Gould, Lea (companion Lyle Klein) Reed and Jill (Bill) Barrett; brother, Charles (Marilyn) Walsh, and sister, Jean (David) Hartgrave, all of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several stepchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Theresa Gould-Homsey and Dixie Jo Truesdell; two sisters, Mary and Barbara Walsh; two brothers, William and James Walsh; and granddaughter, Rebakah Knapp.
Beverly was born Oct. 26, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Flood) Walsh. She graduated from Wilson High School and served in the Army Air Corps 101st Airborne. Beverly worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years and Collins for four years as a custodian.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, American Postal Workers Union, Rapid Local Prime Timers of Mercy, WAC Veterans Association and American Legion Post 5.
