Troy Springer, 49, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 10, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital after a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer at Ellis Park.
Troy was born on June 28, 1973, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Terry and Shellie Springer. Troy was employed by Hanna Plumbing and Heating. He loved boating and water sports, especially attending boat races. He was a member of the Cedar Rapids boat club and the Local 125 plumbers/pipefitters union. Troy liked to travel and spend time with his friends and family. He was a loyal friend who will be remembered as having the biggest heart and the kindest soul. Troy enjoyed cooking and was known for his love of butter and pepper maybe even a tad too much.
Troy is survived by his three daughters, Crystal (Carlton) Allred, Erika (Arielle) Springer and Makyla (Jacob) Harrison; his parents, Terry and Shellie Springer; sister, Stephanie (Brad) Oberreuter; niece, Emma; and a granddaughter expected next week.
Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund care of the family through Cedar Memorial.
