Trotter, William Allen
William Allen Trotter, 92, of Washington, formerly of Ainsworth, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at the Halcyon House in Washington. Celebration of Life services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, with military honors conducted by the James Harlan Thoma Ainsworth American Legion Post 351, will take place at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth.
He is survived by his wife, Edie of Washington; daughter, Pamela Edwards and husband Gary of St. Charles, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Mary Trotter of Perry; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sister, Dorothy E. Harley of Ely, Minn.
Memorials have been established for the James Harlan Thoma Ainsworth American Legion Post 351, Ainsworth Community Church, or Ainsworth Opera House.
