Trimpe, Eloise R.
Eloise R. Trimpe, 80, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Sandra) Trimpe of Kalona, Iowa; a sister, Laverne Redington of Dayton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Trimpe of Chestnut, Ill., and Michael (Kelli) Trimpe of Kalona; and three great-grandchildren and soon to be one more.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; and a brother, Robert Hellwege.
Eloise was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Otto and Dorothy Duhn Hellwege. She married Raymond H. Trimpe on June 17, 1950, in Conroy, Iowa. Eloise started teaching first grade in Homestead, Iowa and later for Trinity Lutheran School and the Cedar Rapids school system. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She love to walk and do crossword puzzles.
