Trimble, Lorraine
Lorraine Trimble, 88, of Marion, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her children, Janis (Dennis) Dollarhide of Milwaukee, Wis., Jack (Cindy) Trimble of Cedar Rapids, and Joanne Morris (Rick Sacora) of Marion; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elwood Kramer of Rockport, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one granddaughter.
Lorraine was born Sept. 8, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Frances (Hoover) Kramer, in Marion, Iowa. She married John Trimble on Nov. 9, 1945. in Chicago, Ill. Lorraine made many beautiful wedding cakes as well as taught cake decorating classes. She was a loving mother and wife and always had a smile and kind word for everyone she knew.
