Tressler, Delpha M.
Delpha M. Tressler, 77, of Oelwein, formerly of Hazleton, died Thursday morning, April 26, 2012, at Oelwein Health Care Center. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with Chaplain Denise Lindeman officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.
A memorial fund has been established.

Delpha Mae Harris was born on March 25, 1935, at Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur O. & Hilda Mae (Hansel) Harris. She graduated from Hazleton High School in the class of 1953. Delpha was united in marriage to Carl Owen Tressler on Aug. 13, 1954, at Oelwein, Iowa. She worked for Qwest Communications for 23½ years, retiring in 1994. Delpha's loves of her life were her children, grandchildren, friends and her pets. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing bingo and cards. Delpha had formerly been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hazleton.
Delpha is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Miller of Boise, Idaho, Terri (Tom) Ledesma of Oelwein and Sue Tressler of Oelwein; five grandchildren, Mikeala (Kenny) Marmelo of Hubert, N.C., Brianne Ledesma of Oelwein, Adam Lesesma of Oelwein, Matthew Miller of Boise Idaho, and Melanie Miller of Boise, Idaho; three great-grandchildren, Emma and Sophia Marmelo of Boise, Idaho and Ayden Ledesma of West Union; a sister, Shirley Elliff of Solon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl in 1963.
