Travis Jay Hess, 31, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014. Celebration of Life services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Red Cedar Lodge at Squaw Creek Park. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Travis was a super super smart young man and a gentle soul who cared deeply about his fellow man. He was a tireless volunteer, humanitarian and advocate for others. He worked so hard for the causes he believed in and was involved in many activities that were just plain smart and uplifting.
Travis is survived by his parents, Dan and Tina (Harem) Hess; and his brother and wife, Troy and Heidi (Wheeler) Hess.
Travis will be missed deeply by Allie Hope Bernhard and many other relatives and friends.
