Travis James Dixon, 44, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at Brosh Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. The family requests everyone dress in casual attire.
Travis was born Dec. 18, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lance Dixon and Kristy Wessels. He attended Cedar Rapids Prairie High School. He was united in marriage to Kasey Hoffpauir on Oct. 30, 2004. They had two children together, Jaycob and Ashtian. Travis had been in a relationship with Jessica Garrett since March 13, 2019. They have a son together. Elijah He worked at Centro in North Liberty, RRT Custom Homes, and was in the process of launching his own company, Dixon Flooring LLC. He enjoyed cooking, playing darts, watching the Hawkeyes, reading the Bible, talking about God, working on his many vehicles, and most of all spending time with his family.
Travis is survived by his children, Jaycob, Ashtian and Elijah Dixon; the love of his life, Jessica Garrett; his father, Lance Dixon; his mother, Kristy Sutton; his sisters, April Randall, Heather White and Callie Dixon; as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friends, Jeremy Wilson, Justin Garrett, Jeffy George and Keith Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virginia and Bill Wilson; and a cousin and great friend, Aaron Carpenter.
