Traver, Sharon Lee
Sharon Lee Traver, 66, of Manchester, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester. There will be a private family memorial service, with private family inurnment at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
She was born Jan. 23, 1943, in Beloit, Wis., the daughter of Gilbert Frank and Grace Margaret (Wollin) Bliss. Sharon and her family moved to Manchester when she was a junior in high school where she graduated from West Delaware High School. On Oct. 14, 1962, Sharon was united in marriage to Donald G. Traver Jr. at the United Methodist Church in Manchester. Together they made their home in Manchester, where three children were born to this union.
Sharon was employed as a teacher's associate at the kindergarten building with the West Delaware School District for 27 years until her retirement in 2008.
Sharon was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in decorating her home as well as her family's homes. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Sharon also enjoyed going to the Little Red Schoolhouse in Independence with her kids and her friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald G. Traver Jr. of Manchester; her son, D. Ty (Tracy) Traver of Manchester; two daughters, Trevelle (Jim) Belden of Manchester and Tanya (Luke) Nurre of Dundee; five grandchildren, Hailey, Tyler and Madison Traver and Blake and Brooke Belden, all of Manchester; one sister, Kathy (Paul) Wunsch of Hartland, Wis.; and one brother, James Bliss of Eagle River, Wis.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Grace Bliss; and her father-in-law and her mother-in-law, Donald F. and Bertha Traver.
